BiographyDr. Huan LIU holds the Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University and currently serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Public Administration, South China University of Technology (SCUT). Before joining SCUT, she served as an Assistant Professor at Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University. Her research focuses on risk management and resilience assessment, with particular interests in systemic risk, economic impact assessment of disasters, and economic resilience analysis. Over the past five years, she has published over 30 papers, with six research achievements being awarded for outstanding presentations at international conferences. Dr. LIU currently serves as PI on two projects, including the awarded Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Fund Excellent Young Scholar Project. She also participates as a core member in several additional projects, including the NSF-JST Joint International Collaborative project. She is a member of IDRiM event organizing committee and also serves as a junior editor for the Earthquake Engineering and Resilience Journal and acts as a reviewer for several international journals.
