Xiaodong Li, Ph.D. in Management, is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Business Administration, South China University of Technology. He obtained his doctorate from the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, Open and User Innovation, and Digital Technology and Innovation Management. In recent years, his work has focused on topics such as digital technologies (e.g., AI), user-driven innovation models, and collaborative innovation mechanisms in digital platforms, with a particular emphasis on how AI and other digital technologies drive digital product innovation and organizational adaptive transformation.
He has strong data analysis and research skills, proficient in Python, Stata, R, and MATLAB, and is experienced in econometric analysis, machine learning, text analysis, and case study methods. He has published several papers in leading Chinese and international journals and conferences, including China Industrial Economics, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, and PACIS. He has also participated in multiple national and provincial research projects, gaining solid experience in both academic research and teamwork. Beyond theoretical research, Dr. Li also possesses extensive industry research and cross-disciplinary practice experience. He has collaborated with and conducted field studies in companies such as Midea Group, Lianjia Group, Suofeiya Home Collection Co.Ltd, SpringRay Co., Guiguzi Technology, and Duoyi Co.
