BiographyJiang Saihua, male, is a professor at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, South China University of Technology. He is a recipient of the National Young Talent Program, a recipient of the Guangdong Provincial Talent Program, and a recipient of the Pearl River Nova Program of Guangzhou. He earned his Ph.D. from the State Key Laboratory of Fire Science at the University of Science and Technology of China, and the same year, he received a joint Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong. He also conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania.His research focuses primarily on the theoretical and technological aspects of safety intelligent protection, including The Technology and Theory of Multi-parameter Intelligent Sensing in Special Operations or Extreme Environments,Safety of New Energy Sources and Specialized Functional Materials,Intelligent Actuators and emergency equipment,Technologies and Theories of Accident Prediction, Prevention, and Investigation.
In recent years, he has presided over 30 research projects, including grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Research and Development Program of China, Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong, Science and Technology Program of Guangzhou, and Pearl River Nova Program. He has participated as a key researcher in projects under National Key Basic Research Program of China (973 Program) and National Key Research and Development Program of China multiple times.
To date, he has published over 130 papers in internationally authoritative journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy and Small. His research papers have received positive peer reviews and accumulated over 5567 citations, with an h-index of 42. He has applied for 35 national patents, obtained 19 invention patents.
He has received numerous awards, including the 1st Prize of the Science and Technology Advancement Award of China Association of Work Safety, the Youth Technology Award of Science and Technology Award for Public Safety, the 2nd Prize of the Science and Technology Award of China Occupational Safety and Health Association, the 2nd Prize of the Science and Technology Award of China Association of Special Equipment Inspection, the 3rd Prize of the Science and Technology Award of Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection, and the 3rd Prize for Excellent Works in Innovation of Modern Management of National Petroleum and Petrochemical Enterprises. He has also been awarded the “President Award (Excellent Prize) of Chinese Academy of Sciences” and the title of “Outstanding Graduate of Anhui Province”.
