Xiaozhiyu

Prof. Zhiyu Xiao, He obtained his B.E., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Casting at 1987, Metal Material and Heat Treatment at 1990 and Materials Processing Engineering at 2002 in South China University of Technology (SCUT), respectively. Prof. Xiao had undertaking teaching and scientific researcher at SCUT since 1990. After that, he was promoted to associate professor at 2000, full professor at 2006 and doctoral supervisor at 2008, respectively. Until now, he has cultivated 4 doctors and 30 graduate students for master degree. Currently, he is an associate director of the National Engineering Research Center of Near-net-shape Forming for Metallic Materials. Meantime, he is a senior member of the Chinese Materials Research Society, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the Chinese Society for Metals. Also, he is the executive director and a member of standing committee of Chinese Powder Metallurgy Society Branch of Chinese Materials Research Society, the distinguished director of Chinese Powder Metallurgy Society branch of China Steel Construction Society and a deputy secretary general of China Powder Metallurgy Strategic Alliance. Moreover, he also serves as an associate editor of Journal of Powder Metallurgy Industry, an editorial board member of Powder Metallurgy Technology and Materials Science and Engineering of Powder Metallurgy. He was election as the New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education at 2005.
