Biography

Li Miao, PhD, lecturer, and master's supervisor, has been working at the School of Design, South China University of Technology since 2017. He graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2016 with a PhD in Engineering. He once worked in product research and development for a Fortune 500 company. He has led/participated in multiple national and provincial-level projects.


His research mainly includes:

Product innovation: Putting users at the center, understanding user needs, innovating product definitions, and establishing more valuable and competitive products;

Technological innovation: Integrating multiple methods, including but not limited to the Theory of Invention Problem Solving (TRIZ), to solve technical problems in products;

Technology forecasting: Plan product technology and identify future technological innovation opportunities;

Patent Strategy and Innovation: The Integration of Patent Information and Innovation Empowers Enterprises in Research and Development Innovation;

Experience design: User driven service and experience optimization and innovation;

Generative AI and Innovation: Agile Innovation Integrating Generative AI

R&D Management: Product R&D System and R&D Process Management.
