BiographyDr. Man graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from City University of Hong Kong in 2015. He then continued his studies at the same institution, pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Factors Engineering, which he completed in 2019. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Man served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Advanced Design and Systems Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong and later in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
In 2022, Dr. Man joined the Department of Industrial Design at the School of Design, South China University of Technology. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published 51 SCI/SSCI papers, including Safety Science, Journal of Safety Research, Applied Ergonomics, Ergonomics, and International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction.
Dr. Man has led several significant research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, the Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project of Guangdong Province of China, the Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan Project, the Yangcheng Youth Scholar Project of Philosophy and Social Science Planning of Guangzhou and the “Double First-Class” construction project at the South China University of Technology. He has also participated in numerous other projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation General Project, the Ministry of Education’s “Human Factors and Ergonomics” Industry-University Cooperative Education Project, the King Saud University Collaborative Project, projects funded by the Hong Kong SAR Government Development Bureau, and collaborations with the Hong Kong Bus Company.
