She holds a B.A. in Architecture from South China University of Technology, an M.Arch II from Cornell University, and a Ph.D. in Architecture from Tongji University. She is currently a Lecturer at South China University of Technology and a Principal Investigator whose research focuses on human-centered design, spatial interaction experience, and intelligent environmental creation. She has professional design experience in both New York and Guangzhou, and has published several articles in leading journals related to architecture and environmental behavior. Yidi currently leads multiple research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Program),Guangzhou Philosophy and Social Sciences Development, Guangzhou Science and Technology Project, Guangdong Provincial Teaching Quality and Reform Project, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. Her design works have received awards in international competitions such as the YAC Experiential Beer Garden Competition, and she has participated in the design of multiple architectural and urban projects.
