Professor Xie is biomedical researcher dedicated in deciphering the role of protein synthesis and folding-related cell signalling pathways in the development of human illnesses, in particular (prostate and colorectal) cancer and hepatitis B. He has developed an internationally-recognized reputation in this field, as evidenced by an outstanding publication track record for my career stage: 55 peer-reviewed articles in total, including 25 first/last author papers in top-ranking journals; e.g. Nature Cell Biology, PNAS, Current Biology, Diabetologia, Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, among many others. His articles have thus far been cited over 3100 times He also holds 4 patents, authored 4 book chapters and have given more than 10 presentations at international conferences.
