BiographyJun Li, Male, Han ethnicity. Ph.D. in Engineering. Associate Professor; Supervisor of Ph.D. and M.S. students. His research and teaching focus on compound extreme climate events, vegetation–extreme event interactions, impacts and feedbacks of compound events, and artificial intelligence–enabled applications. He has received several honors, including Outstanding Graduate of South China University of Technology and Boya Postdoctoral Fellowship at Peking University. He has served as Principal Investigator for one national research project, and as a participant in one National Key R&D Program and one Key Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published 11 JCR Q1 journal articles as first author and 2 JCR Q1 articles as corresponding author, including one first-author paper in Nature Communications and two first-author papers in Communications Earth & Environment (Nature Portfolio). His publications include three highly cited papers, one highly cited high-value Chinese paper, and additional influential peer-reviewed articles. He has applied for two invention patents, with one patent granted. He also serves as a reviewer for multiple international scientific journals.
