AboutHuang Yang, born in 1979, holds a master's degree in harmony and is an associate professor. He is engaged in the teaching and research of harmony. Besides offering compulsory harmony courses at all levels for undergraduates and an elective course on harmony analysis, he also supervises postgraduate students majoring in harmony. He has won the third prize in the teaching competition for young teachers of South China University of Technology and the teaching excellence award of South China University of Technology five times. He has successively presided over four provincial and ministerial-level scientific research and teaching reform projects, including the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Project during the 13th Five-Year Plan, the Guangzhou Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Project for Young Scholars, the Guangdong Higher Education Teaching Research and Reform Project, and the Guangdong Provincial Undergraduate Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Project. He has also presided over several university-level scientific research and teaching reform projects and participated in several national social science fund projects in the field of art. He has published several research and teaching papers in CSSCI, core journals, and provincial journals.
