AboutKong Lingyi is a lecturer at the School of Arts, South China University of Technology. She holds a Master's degree and a Dip.RAM from the Royal College of Music (UK) and was the youngest visiting scholar at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory in Canada. She has studied under renowned violinists such as Maurice Hasson, Paul Kantor, and Ma Kaiyi. During her studies, she received multiple honors, including the Florence Whitlock Scholarship and the Joseph Bloch Scholarship. She has collaborated with world-class musicians, including Maxim Vengerov, Tasmine Little, Victor Danchenko, and Joel Smirnoff, earning high praise. Kong Lingyi has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including the London Festival Hall, Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, National Centre for the Performing Arts (China), Tokyo Opera House, and Xinghai Concert Hall. She has held solo recitals at the Southern China University of Technology Concert Hall and the Jingshan Concert Hall in Shenzhen, and she performed as a lead artist in chamber music concerts at the MISA(Music in the Summer Air). Since beginning her teaching career, her students have won awards in provincial and national competitions. In 2021, she participated in the first Aesthetic Education Teaching Skills Competition organized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, winning the first prize in the university music category.
