AboutLiu Jian, male, member of the Communist Party of China, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, where he studied under the late renowned Chinese cellist and music educator Professor Zong Bo. Since beginning his teaching career in 2004, he has been actively engaged in cello education and performance in Guangdong Province. He currently serves as a faculty member in the Instrumental Music Department at the School of Arts, South China University of Technology. He is also a guest teacher of chamber music at the School of Arts, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies , and a guest lecturer in cello at the School of Music, South China Normal University. In addition, he has long served as an adjudicator for the Guangdong Provincial Art Joint Examination, the Shanxi Provincial Art Unified Examination, and the Guangdong Provincial Instrumental Music Competition. He has led two provincial-level research projects and published one academic monograph. His students, including Chen Xiyue and Hao Yujie, have won first prizes in the cello category at the Guangdong Provincial Instrumental Music Competition.
