Taolin

Taolin, female, Chinese Communist Party member, lecturer of department of dance, school of arts, South China University of Technology. Primarily teach Oriental dance courses such as basic training in Chinese classical dance, body rhythm, Korean dance, and Dunhuang dance. Research direction focuses on dance aesthetics and dance practice.

Academic achievements:

Participated in the compilation of Indian Bharatanatyam Dance Course, and published multiple dance essays in journals such as Journal of Beijing Dance Academy, Dance, Creation and Criticism, and Art Sea. Additionally, two essays, Dance Theory and Theoretical Dance - Exploring Dance Theory Classroom Teaching in Higher Art Colleges and Each Beautiful in Its Own Way, Sharing Beauty Together - Exploring the Educational and Teaching Characteristics of Dance Undergraduate Education in Colleges, won the first prize for papers in the Guangdong Provincial College Students' Art Exhibition and Performance in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

Professional Experiences:

Once member of the Changsha Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe, and accompanied the Changsha Municipal Government on cultural exchanges to Ireland, the United Kingdom, France. During her studies at the Beijing Dance Academy, participated in cultural exchange activities in India with the Oriental Dance Professional Class. Since 2004, she has been teaching at the Department of Dance, School of Art, South China University of Technology. During her teaching career, she has repeatedly ranked among the top three in student evaluations of teaching quality.
