AboutWu Juan is a lecturer at the School of Arts, South China University of Technology. She graduated from the Department of Musicology at Xinghai Conservatory of Music and the School of Arts, South China University of Technology, earning both a bachelor's and a master's degree. She studied under Professors He Ping and Li Xin. She is a member of the World Folk Music Society and the Guangdong Musicians Association. Her main teaching and research areas include world folk music, China's traditional music, intangible cultural heritage, and contemporary music research. She teaches courses such as World Folk Music and Introduction to Musicology. Her papers have won the First Prize in the Third Guangdong Art Education Research Paper Competition, and she has been invited to attend important academic conferences, including the World Music Week hosted by the Central Conservatory of Music and the Nanguo Music Festival Theory Seminar organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee. Her published monographs include Fisherman's Song and Dance Song, and she has co-authored major works such as Appreciation of Symphonic Music and Research on Guangdong Musicians. He has presided over the Central University Basic Research Business Fund projects Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Base and Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Fishermen's Songs Research, as well as the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Local Historical and Cultural Characteristics Project The Influence and Contribution of Guangdong Musicians on the Development of China Music in the Past Century. As the deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Base of South China University of Technology, he is engaged in the research on the protection and inheritance of traditional music in Guangdong Province.
