AboutRecipient of the Xingliao Talent—Outstanding Young Talent title, Jiang Xie is a Professor at the School of Arts of South China University of Technology, Principal Conductor of the SCUT Symphony Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor of the Shanxi Symphony Orchestra, Principal Conductor of the Pearl River Film Orchestra, and Adjunct Master’s Supervisor both at Xinghai Conservatory of Music and Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He also serves as a Distinguished Expert at Shenzhen Arts School. He graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, and Northwestern University, where he earned his doctoral degree. His principal teachers include renowned conductors Yu Feng, Chen Bing, Gustav Meier, Marin Alsop, and Victor Yampolsky. He has also been invited to masterclasses led by celebrated conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Charles Dutoit, and Riccardo Muti. He previously served as Deputy Chair of the Orchestral Department at Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He has conducted at the Aspen and Peninsula Music Festivals in the United States and has appeared with the Loop Chamber Orchestra (USA), Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Central Conservatory of Music Choir and Chamber Orchestra, Shanxi Symphony Orchestra, Hubei Provincial Opera and Dance Drama Theatre Orchestra, Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenyang Symphony Orchestra, Shenyang Ethnic Symphony Orchestra, Changying Symphony Orchestra, and the Shenzhen Concert Hall Symphony Orchestra, among others.
