BiographyChen Yuanming, Ph.D., Senior Engineer. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the South China University of Technology (SCUT) in July 2002, and his Ph.D. in Design and Construction of Naval Architecture and Ocean Structures from the same university in December 2007. Since 2008, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Transportation at SCUT. He has been engaged in teaching and research in the field of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. His primary research focuses on: intelligent measurement and control technology for offshore equipment, marine energy utilization technology, and wave motion compensation technology. He has taught undergraduate courses including Shipbuilding Technology and Modern Shipbuilding Methods, Ship Equipment, and Marine Electrical and Automatic Control Systems, as well as the postgraduate course Computational Fluid Dynamics. He has presided over or participated in more than 40 scientific research projects, published over 40 academic papers, contributed to the formulation of 3 technical standards, and been granted 20 invention patents, 8 utility model patents, and 4 software copyrights. His achievements have been recognized with 8 scientific and technological awards, including the First Prize and Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Special Prize of the Guangdong Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award.
