BiographyResearch interests primarily focus on seepage in geotechnical engineering, stability analysis of shield tunnels/excavations/cofferdams and slopes, analysis of soil-structure interaction mechanisms for underground structures, geotechnical monitoring and numerical simulation, active uplift resistance technology for underground structures using interception, drainage, and pressure reduction, and slope stability analysis. Notably, the active uplift resistance technology for underground structures using interception, drainage, and pressure reduction won the first prize in Guangdong Technological Invention Award (3/15, ranked third) and was incorporated into relevant codes. Research and application of regional complex seepage field analysis and seepage control won the third prize in Guangdong Science and Technology Award (3/7, ranked third) and the first prize in Guangdong Civil Engineering and Architectural Society Award (3/7, ranked third). Over 40 related academic articles have been published. One National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program project, two Guangdong Natural Science Foundation General Program projects, one open project from the State Key Laboratory for Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and over 10 horizontal projects from enterprises have been undertaken as principal investigator. As the lead editor institution, participated in the compilation of two standards: Guangdong Province Standard Technical Code for Anti-uplift Design of Building Engineering and CECS Standard Technical Standard for Drainage and Pressure Relief Uplift Resistance Design of Underground Structures.
