BiographyWei Lin, born in 1980, holds a Doctor of Engineering degree and works as a Lecturer in the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, South China University of Technology. His research mainly focuses on the structural analysis and design of ships and offshore engineering, covering the stochastic vibration of ship and offshore engineering structures, vortex-induced vibration (VIV) of deepwater risers, as well as the development and design of offshore engineering equipment and new ship types.
