Yongjie Lin received the Ph.D. degree from the School of Control Science and Engineering, Shandong University, China. Dr. Lin is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Civil Engi- neering and Transportation, South China University of Technology, China. His research interests include radar-vision detection, traffic operations and control and traffic disaster prevention. His research outcomes have been implemented in 13 cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Guiyang, Foshan, Huizhou, Zhongshan, and Jiaxing. He has received more than ten awards, including the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (1st Prize and 2nd Prize).
In teaching and education, Dr. Lin leads the Guangdong Provincial First-Class Course (offline) Transportation Planning, and the SCUT University-level Ideological and Political Demonstration Course Traffic Detection Technology, in addition to teaching over ten undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses. He has been awarded the First Prize of China Transportation Education Research Excellent Achievement Award, the Second Prize of the Seventh Guangdong Provincial University (Undergraduate) Young Faculty Teaching Contest, and the SCUT Teaching Excellence Award.
