BiographyDr. Shuang Qin obtained her Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China in June 2020. She then conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from July 2020 to December 2022. From January to December 2023, she served as an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2024, she has been an Associate Professor (tenure-track) at South China University of Technology. Her research primarily focuses on the strengthening and toughening of metallic structural materials and their dynamic mechanical properties. She employs micro- and nanostructural characterization techniques to investigate the deformation behavior and damage mechanisms of novel metallic materials. She has published nearly 18 papers in journals, including Acta Materialia and the International Journal of Plasticity.
