Biography
Wu Fan, Ph.D., is a Lecturer and Master’s Supervisor. She serves as an expert member of the Expert Committee of the Guangzhou Construction Industry Association and is a member of the China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), acting as a committee member of the CNDCA Branch at South China University of Technology. She previously held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Engineering Management in the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation at South China University of Technology. Dr. Wu earned her Bachelor of Management degree in Engineering Management from Tongji University and obtained her Ph.D. from the Department of Real Estate and Construction at the Faculty of Architecture of The University of Hong Kong. She joined South China University of Technology in 2012. Her primary research focuses on urban regeneration, housing environments, government housing support, and real estate economics. She has published over 40 academic papers, most of which are indexed in SCI, SSCI, or EI, and has authored or co-authored six monographs and textbooks. She has led or participated in more than 30 national, ministerial, and provincial research projects and holds two patents. Dr. Wu has taught a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Organizational Behavior, Management, Engineering Economics, Construction Law, Real Estate Appraisal, and Construction Project Planning. She has received the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award from South China University of Technology seven times and has guided student teams to win over 50 awards in national university disciplinary competitions. She has supervised more than 50 master’s students. With extensive experience in civil engineering projects and urban area planning, Dr. Wu has conducted practical research on dozens of projects in various cities, focusing on urban area development, urban renewal of old districts, and land development around rail transit nodes.
