Biography
Dr. Wang’s research group focuses on risk identification and intelligent management technologies in road safety, with application scenarios covering highway reconstruction and expansion work zones, maintenance work zones, complex roadway alignment sections, and transportation infrastructures such as bridges, tunnels, and interchanges. The group’s research is grounded in accident prediction modeling and accident mechanism analysis, and leverages LiDAR and video sensing technologies to construct point cloud spatial models for comprehensive road traffic safety assessment and analysis. Building upon traditional roadway design theories and methodologies while addressing emerging research frontiers, the group investigates road spatial alignment characteristics, safety design and optimization of dedicated infrastructure for autonomous driving, and low-carbon roadway design strategies. The group has led six national-level research projects, more than ten provincial-level projects, and over thirty engineering commissioned technical service and consultancy projects. The group's research achievements have received multiple first and second prizes from national-level professional and industry associations. Dr. Wang has also participated as a key technical contributor in five national-level projects and has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers as first or corresponding author in domestic and international journals, including more than 20 SCI-indexed papers, over 30 EI-indexed papers, and five academic monographs.
