Biography

You Feng, male, born in July 1977, native of Zunyi, Guizhou Province, received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering. He is currently an Associate Professor and Masters Supervisor at South China University of Technology (SCUT), serving as Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Engineering and Director of the Traffic Engineering Teaching and Research Section.

 

His main research interests include intelligent vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), intelligent vehicleinfrastructure collaboration and safety control, and the integration of transportation systems and artificial intelligence.

 

He has presided over nearly 20 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), provincial science and technology departments, and municipal science and technology bureaus, including two NSFC projects, one Guangdong Provincial Key Public Welfare Project, one sub-project of a Guangzhou Key R&D Program, and three projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province. He has published more than 50 papers in domestic and international journals and conferences, among which 33 papers are indexed by SCI and EI. He has applied for nearly 20 patents.

 

His research achievements have been recognized with one Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Special Prize, one Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Third Prize, one First Prize and one Third Prize of the China Highway & Transportation Society, as well as one Special Prize and one First Prize in the Internet+ Transportation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The research achievement entitled Lane-Changing and Merging Control Method for Autonomous Vehicles under Vehicle-to-Vehicle Cooperation was selected as one of the Top Academic Papers (Leading 5000) of Chinas High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journals in 2020. He has also received the Second China Transportation Education Outstanding Young and Middle-Aged Teacher Award.

 

He serves as a corresponding review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, covering Key, General, Young Scientists, and Regional Programs; a road traffic safety management expert of Guangdong Province; a member of the Transportation Engineering Committee of the World Transport Convention (WTC); a member of the Guangdong Intelligent Transportation Association; a transportation safety production expert of Guangdong Province; and a public transportation operation safety evaluation expert of Guangzhou.

 

He is also a reviewer for a number of prestigious domestic and international journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (TITS), IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII), Accident Analysis & Prevention (AAP), Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems (JITS), IET Intelligent Transport Systems, Journal of Advanced Transportation (JAT), Acta Automatica Sinica, China Journal of Highway and Transport, Journal of Transportation Engineering, Journal of Jilin University (Engineering and Technology Edition), and Traffic Information and Security, among others.

 

He was awarded the Third Prize of the Yang Dongyuan Transportation Science Outstanding Paper Award in 2019 and the Second Prize of the Excellent Paper Award of the China Journal of Highway and Transport in 2019.
