BiographyYan Hui is an associate professor. He is currently the Department Head of the Construction Management and Deputy Director of the Infrastructure Department of South China University of Technology (on a temporary basis). He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Engineering Management in 2004 and a PhD in Management Science and Engineering in 2011. He went to Hong Kong Polytechnic University for joint doctoral training and postdoctoral research in 2008 and 2014 respectively. He started working at South China University of Technology in April 2012. He has long been dedicated to teaching and research in low-carbon and sustainable construction and engineering management. He has led and participated in over 40 projects and published more than 60 papers. His research achievement, "The Theory and Method of Sustainable Development of Urban Renewal Projects under the Background of Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality", won the first prize of the Natural Resources Science and Technology Award of Guangdong Province in 2022 (ranked first).
