BiographyZhou Linren, from Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, is an associate professor at South China University of Technology. The research focuses on structural health monitoring, disaster prevention and mitigation, and the resource utilization of construction waste. He has led 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 3 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan projects, and 5 other research projects such as open research projects of key national laboratories and basic business funds of central universities. As a key research member, he has participated in 4 research projects including sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also led over 10 commissioned technical service projects from enterprises and institutions such as Guangdong Science Cooperation Center, China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Corp. LTD, Guangzhou Metro, Chimelong Group, China Railway First Bureau, and China Construction Technology Group. He has published over 60 academic papers, among which 40 are indexed in SCI and EI. He has also obtained 20 patents, including 10 invention patents; 4 software copyrights; compiled 1 local standard of Guangdong Province; and won the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education.
