Biography

Leonardo Carnevali holds a Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on the sociopolitical relations between China and Latin America within the broader field of Area Studies, as well as on ChineseSpanish translation.

 

Mr. Carnevali's work examines the ontological and epistemic dimensions of ChinaLatin America sociopolitical relations, and he has participated in academic exchanges and conferencesincluding those hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His translation portfolio includes Chinese literary and political texts rendered into Latin American Spanish, as well as Latin American texts translated into Chinese.

 

Mr. Carnevali is a member of the World Sinologist Center, where he serves as an expert on SinoLatin American relations, and is also affiliated with Chinese Culture Translation and Studies Support (CCTSS). In addition, he is a researcher at the Africa and Asia Research Center of the University of Los Andes. He is currently engaged in sociopolitical research on ChinaLatin America relations and in translation-based projects at South China University of Technology.
