Biography

Xueyan Zhao is a professor of School of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology (SCUT) in Guangzhou. She is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and the Guangdong Provincial Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.She received the Ph.D degree in Systems Engineering from SCUT in June 2014, and visited the University of Newcastle, Australia from Aug. 2018 to Aug. 2019.Her awards include the 2024 Guangdong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award, the 2024 Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) Youth Science and Technology Award, and the 2016 CAA Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award.Her research interests are the modeling, stability and stabilization of the stochastic systems with applications. 

Now she is serving as a member of the Technical Committee on Control Theory (TCCT) and the Committee of Female Science and Technology Workers (CFSTW), Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), the vice chair of the IEEE CSS Guangzhou Chapter.She also serves as an Editorial Board Member or Young Editorial Board Member for journals including IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, Journal of System Science and Complexity, and Complex System Modeling and Simulation.In recent years, she has published over 60 papers in IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Automatica and other journals,and has led more than 10 national and provincial-level research projects.
