BiographyLi Wenbin’s primary research areas include government performance management, fiscal and budgeting performance management, and innovation in public administration. His research examines the origins, evolution, and effectiveness logic of government (budget) performance management, as well as how government innovation can enhance governmental (fiscal) performance. He joined South China University of Technology in 2001 and has since published more than 50 academic papers and authored five books. His projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Fund, and the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Fund. His research achievements have received several awards, including the Third Prize of the National Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements of Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences) and the First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Award for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences. He also values international academic exchange and has twice been funded by the China Scholarship Council to conduct visiting research in the United States. He has been invited to participate in the annual conferences of the American Society for Public Administration, the European Group for Public Administration, and the Association of Budgeting and Financia Management of the United States.
