Biography Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at South China University of Technology (SCUT), and Director of the Food Processing, Separation and Nanotechnology Research Team. Previous academic experience includes a visiting scholarship at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Ohio State University, USA, which significantly enriched the international research perspective. Holds various leadership and advisory roles in professional organizations: Director of the Agricultural Products Storage and Processing Branch of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Sciences, Director of the Non-thermal Processing Technology Branch of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, and Member of the Pharmaceutical and Biological Membrane Professional Committee of the China Membrane Industry Association. Serves as an evaluator/reviewer for national and provincial assessment bodies, including the National Science and Technology Awards, the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Awards, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Expert in the Membrane and Water Treatment Industry, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, the Guangdong Agricultural Comprehensive Development Evaluation Center, the Guangdong University Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Expert Database, and the Guangzhou Natural Science High-level Expert Talent Pool. Acts as a peer reviewer for prestigious international journals, such as Journal of Membrane Science, Food Chemistry, Journal of Food Engineering, Process Biotechnology, and Journal of Applied Electrochemistry. Engaged in teaching and scientific research at the Institute of Light Industry and Chemical Engineering, SCUT since 1995. Main research areas focus on three core fields: Advanced Membrane Material Preparation, Food Processing and Preservation, and Nanotechnology. Has successively presided over and undertaken more than 60 scientific research projects, including national key initiatives (National Key R&D Program of the 14th Five-Year Plan, National 863 Program, National Natural Science Foundation Projects) and provincial/municipal-level projects (Guangdong Industry-University-Research Cooperation Projects, Guangdong Science and Technology Equipment Mobilization Projects, Guangdong Applied Technology R&D Special Fund Projects, Guangzhou Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Major Special Projects, Guangzhou Science and Technology Research Projects). Academic achievements include 291 papers published in domestic and international academic journals, with 101 indexed by SCI and EI (including 4 highly cited papers), an H-index of 30, and a total of 3,195 citations. Holds 76 national invention patents and has published 5 monographs. Received 2 national-level awards, 7 provincial and ministerial-level awards, and 5 other honors.
