Research Areas

Our research team focuses on the CRISPR system, dedicated to achieving full-chain innovation from exploring fundamental mechanisms to technology development and translation. The main research directions include:

  • Gene Editing Mechanisms and Applications
    Concentrating on the molecular mechanisms of the CRISPR/Cas9 system, we aim to enhance its editing efficiency and targeting precision, thereby advancing its applications in gene function analysis, disease modeling, and the development of gene therapy strategies.

  • High-Throughput CRISPR Functional Genomics
    We are establishing a CRISPR-based high-throughput gene editing and screening platform to systematically uncover gene functions and their regulatory networks, supporting disease mechanism studies and the discovery of innovative drug targets.

  • Molecular Diagnostics and Biosensing
    Leveraging the CRISPR/Cas12/13 systems, we are developing a new generation of rapid and highly sensitive biosensors, striving to achieve on-site, real-time detection of pathogenic microorganisms, genetic variants, and biomarkers.


Students interested in CRISPR/Cas systems are encouraged to reach out to explore research opportunities in areas such as gene editing mechanisms, high-throughput functional genomics, and CRISPR-based molecular diagnostics.
