Biography
Chen An, 47 years old, currently serves as Executive Deputy Director of the Future Innovation Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence at South China University of Technology (SCUT), Director of the Science Popularization Education Base of the Key Laboratory of Autonomous Systems and Networked Control (Ministry of Education) at SCUT, Leader of the SCUT Intelligent Vehicle Team, and Director of the University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base for Automation and Intelligent Technology at SCUT. He is also the leader of the first batch of National First-Class Undergraduate Courses. His main research direction is Visual Intelligence and Robotic System Optimization. He has published or co-published more than 50 papers in domestic and foreign journals and conferences, obtained 13 authorized invention patents, 25 published invention patents, and 27 authorized utility model patents. Additionally, he holds concurrent positions as a Member of the Popularization Working Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), a Member of the Smart Education Committee of CAA, a Lecturer of Guangdong Science Popularization Teachers Group, and a Technical Support Expert of Guangdong Primary and Secondary School Science Education Guidance Center. He has acted as a judge and referee for many science and technology competitions, including Referee of the China University Intelligent Robot Innovation Competition, Judge of the China Adolescent Robotics Competition, Referee of the China Intelligent Robot Fighting Competition, and Proposition Technical Consultant of the Guangzhou Primary and Secondary School Students Science and Technology Maker TV Competition.
