BiographyLin Qilian, Assistant Professor and Master's Supervisor at South China University of Technology, focuses his research on high-efficiency and energy-saving control of robotic joint drive motors, sensorless control of permanent magnet motors, and full parameter identification. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2025. With over 10 publications, including multiple papers in IEEE Transactions journals such as TPEL, TIE, and TIA, he has also presented his work at top conferences in the fields of power electronics and electric machines, including ECCE and ICEMS. He has introduced novel methods such as salient-pole-assisted active flux linkage full-speed range observation, adaptive super-twisting sliding mode control, and known regressor modeling for IPMSM. During his doctoral studies, he participated in various projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation General Program and enterprise technical development collaborations, and contributed to several monographs in the field of electric machines. He has been invited to serve as a reviewer for journals such as TPEL, JESTPE, and TIE, and as a special reviewer for conferences including ECCE and ICEMS.
