Biography

Male, of Han ethnicity, holds a doctoral degree, and serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, South China University of Technology.
Main research directions: Vibration and fatigue of bridge structures; Construction monitoring of long-span bridges; Diagnosis and treatment of diseases in existing bridges
He undertakes multiple teaching responsibilities. He has led and participated in various scientific research projects:
  • Led vertical projects:
    1. Led the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China titled Research on New Methods for Fatigue Life Prediction of Steel Bridges;

    2. Led the Open Fund Project of the State Key Laboratory of Frozen Soil Engineering titled Research on Settlement Control of Bridge Pile Foundations Under the Coupling Effect of Freeze-Thaw Cycles and High-Speed Railway Dynamic Loads;

    3. Led the Open Project of the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science titled Fire Resistance Performance and Design Methods of Multi-Story Steel-Concrete Composite Spatial Frame Structures Under Local Fire;

    4. Led the Science and Technology Project of the Department of Transportation of Guangdong Province titled New Methods for Fatigue Life Prediction of Steel Bridges.

    1. General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China titled Research on Dynamic Behavior of Stiffened Plates in Steel Box Girders of Long-Span Bridges (Project No. 51377376);

    3. Science and Technology Project of the Department of Transportation of Guangdong Province titled Research on Key Construction Technologies of Dongjiang Bridge;

    4. Science and Technology Project of the Department of Transportation of Guangdong Province titled Research on Key Reinforcement Technologies of Sanshanxi Bridge.

  • Led major horizontal projects:
    1. Construction monitoring of the main bridge of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge;

    2. Construction monitoring of the main bridge of the Changjiang River Bridge on the Hefu Railway (this bridge is a double-tower five-span continuous steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge with a span arrangement of 90+630+240+90m, a total length of 1290m, a main span of 630m, and is designed for both highway and railway use);

    3. Construction monitoring of the single-tower parallel double-cable-plane steel box girder cable-stayed bridge of Foshan Xiqiao Bridge (span arrangement: 120+125m);

    4. Construction monitoring of Danansha Grand Bridge in Phase II of the Guangzhu Central Line Project;

    5. Inspection of old bridges and roads in the reconstruction project of Daguan Road Entrance/Exit of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway;

    6. Underwater foundation inspection service for bridges in Zhongshan City (2013);

    7. Long-term health monitoring of Shenwan Bridge in Zhongshan City;

    8. Slope support project of Leiyang Experimental Middle School.

  • Participated in horizontal projects:
    1. Research on parameter and internal force relationship identification of the cable structure system of Huangpu Bridge, and scaled experimental research on internal force identification of long suspenders with vibration reduction frames of Huangpu Bridge;

    2. Research on suspender and tie-rod force identification and analysis of Yajisha Main Bridge;

    3. Construction monitoring of Aizhai Suspension Grand Bridge in Hunan Province.

Awards (provincial and ministerial level):
  1. Won 1 First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education (for the project Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Technology for Existing Beam Bridges and Arch Bridges, ranked 3rd);

  2. Won 1 Second Prize of Science and Technology Award of Guangdong Province (for the project Research on Key Mechanical Properties of Rigid Suspension Stiffened Steel Truss Girder Structure of Dongjiang Bridge, ranked 11th).
