Zhao Junxian, Ph.D., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor (appointed through exceptional promotion), Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), USA, and Hokkaido University, Japan. Selected for the Chang Jiang Scholars Program (Young Scholar) (2021), recipient of the Guangdong Outstanding Youth Team Fund (2022), Guangdong Outstanding Youth Fund (2020), one of the first batch of Guangdong Special Support Plan Young Top-notch Talents in Science and Technology Innovation (2014), and Guangzhou Pearl River Science and Technology New Star (2016). Awarded one provincial/ministerial-level First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress (2019, First Completer), the international Liu Huixian Earthquake Engineering Scholarship (2011, awarded to 10 individuals globally), and recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer by the internationally authoritative journal Engineering Structures (top 10% globally). Serves as a committee member of the Earthquake Resistance and Disaster Mitigation Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society, a committee member of the Earthquake Engineering Professional Committee of the Seismological Society of China, and a committee member of the Youth Committee for Infrastructure Earthquake Resistance and Disaster Mitigation of the Seismological Society of China. Serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Guest Editor for the Special Issue on Seismic Resilience of the JCR Q2 journal Buildings, Youth Editorial Board Member for Earthquake Engineering and Resilience, and reviewer for 17 international and 10 domestic mainstream academic journals including Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics, Engineering Structures, Journal of Constructional Steel Research, and the Journal of Building Structures.
